Policy

Delaware County Community College is dedicated to fostering an engaged and informed student body that actively participates in the democratic process. The College will ensure that accessible voter registration resources are available, while actively promoting awareness of electoral rights and responsibilities among all students in a strictly non-partisan manner.

Procedures

  1. Voter Registration Drives:
    • The College will organize voter registration drives across all College locations each academic year and in advance of major elections.
    • These drives will be prominently advertised through, and at the discretion of the Campus Engagement Office, utilizing, for example, digital platforms, social media, flyers, and/or campus-wide emails.
    • Registration efforts will be conducted via tabling in high-traffic areas, ensuring visibility and accessibility for all students. Students are encouraged not to share personal information with real or alleged voter registration opportunities not sanctioned by the College.
  2. Voter Registration drives will utilize College laptops, when available, to access the PA Voter Registration Services website. No paper forms will be utilized by non-College groups. Electronic Registration:
    • Students have the option to complete a Voter Registration Application electronically through PA Voter Registration Services, with clear instructions provided on the College’s website and during registration events.
  3. Support for Student Organizations:
    • The College will actively support and collaborate with student-led organizations in their initiatives to promote voter registration and civic engagement on campus in a strictly non-partisan manner.
