Students enrolled in Early Childhood Education (ECED), Child Development Associate (ECA), and Early Childhood Education Professional Core (ECP) will be required to complete mandatory clearances prior to registration in field placement and child laboratory courses.  Students who do not have or obtain clearances will not be permitted to continue in the program.

New and returning students will receive an email from the Early Childhood Education department with guidance and instructions for obtaining their clearances.  Clearances are valid for 5 years while continuously enrolled in college.  Failure to apply for and submit clearances when prompted may impact registration and result in delays.  

Students who are employed at an early learning program or public/private schools and have clearances on file with their employer may submit the Employer Verification Form along with proof of employment in lieu of submitting clearances.
